Ray is the founder and CEO of MF Analytics and one of the chief architects of the BRAC deal. Prior to starting MF Analytics, Ray was at Lehman Brothers, working on the cutting edge of asset securitization while working with the fledgling Commercial Mortgage-Backed Security (CMBS) industry in the 1990s. While at Lehman, Ray had over $100 Billion of product exposure. He has also worked in Private Equity where he specialized in optimizing supply chain operations and in re-structuring multinational companies with sales of over $1 billion. Ray has led many multinational groups.
He has a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering (high distinction), a BA in Economics (cum laude) from University of Rochester and an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management.
Tanir recently joined MF Analytics, bringing with him an extensive background in structured finance. Tanir has worked for Fortress Investment Group where he specialized in purchasing distressed financial institutions and securitizing their underlying assets. He has also worked at Lehman Brothers on the CMBS, RMBS, and ABS trading and structuring desks. He was, for example, involved with the first student loan and the first cellular tower securitization in the world.
Tanir has an MBA from Carnegie Mellon's Tepper School of Business and a B.A. in
Economics from the University of Chicago. Tanir speaks Portuguese.
